Property Drain Check - Call 07445 220447
A Drain Survey is a report that provides an in-depth document of the underground drainage system. A CCTV camera is put down the drains to inspect the condition of the underground network and pipes.
Cracks are common in clay/pot drains but they are usually the start of every problem, a crack leads to fractures, and so on..
If a crack is near a joint it is a bit more serious and might need remedial work.
Fractures in the drain are more serious than cracks because water can get through them and cause subsidence. We can use a patch liner to fix these issues with our no-dig tech solutions.
Open Joints and Joint displacements vary in severity. Large Open joints and large Joint displacements will need remedial work but medium ones can often be left unless they can cause blockages or they are clearly leaking.
Holes in the drain are very serious especially if they are on the bottom of the pipe. Water can easily escape and wash the ground away. They are often places rats use for tunneling.
A break is a piece of pipe that is hinged but not yet come away from the pipe. Remedial work will often be needed and depending on the severity it might be possible to patch line it.
When a drain has collapsed, unfortunately, it's time to get the spade out and repair or replace the pipe. The pipe will unserviceable.
It is recommended that the pipe be fixed as soon as possible to stop sewage leaking.
